Justin Bieber has teamed up with PETA to urge his fans to adopt a pet and his current one advocating adopting a pet at a shelter versus buying one from a store or breeder. Playing on his hit song, “U Smile,” the ad reads, “Animals can make u smile. Adopt from your local shelter.”
Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to team up with animal rights organization Peta. Justin joins a growing list of celebrities—including Lea Michele, Kellan Lutz, Pink, Sean Kingston, Kelly Osbourne, and Travie McCoy—who have teamed up with PETA to help animals and so can you! Adopt a pet today!

CRITIQUE: CELINE PRÉ-AUTOMNE 2011/2012

Durant mes cours de maîtrise, je pratique le multitasking. Derrière mes notes de cours, prises de façon assidue, il y a toujours ma fenêtre Facebook, Courriel, Twitter, etc. Je fais aussi ma tournée de blogues, sites d’inspirations sur la mode. Tout cela pour dire que ce matin, dans mon cours d’analyse d’images, pendant les explications sur les locutions, illocutions et perlocutions, j’ai TOUT fait pour ne pas rire en tombant sur les images de la nouvelle collection préautomne 2011/2012 de Celine.
La raison? Le patchwork qui tente un retour… Oui, oui, tu as bien lu, LE PATCHWORK.
Depuis des années, je me bât contre cette tendance que je trouve affreuse. Dans un premier temps, mes batailles consistaient à dire que les vêtements recyclés en patchwork étaient affreux sur toutes les plates-formes possibles (j’adore l’idée de recycler des vêtements, le meilleur exemple de cela se trouve sur le site de Boat People).
Je ne croyais jamais devoir me battre contre de grands designers, qui d’une part on fait leur marque dans le monde de la mode et d’autre part qui montre les tendances à venir (principe de trickle down, genre).
Est-ce que le patchwork sera à la mode en 2011/2012? Je pris le ciel pour que ce soit faux. Je pris pour que Celine publie une excuse publique pour atteinte au bon goût dans le monde de la mode.
